About Us

HealthSouth Reading Rehabilitation Hospital is a 60-bed acute medical rehabilitation hospital situated in the southern suburbs of Reading, Penn. Its 30-acre rolling campus features historic Stone Manor, built in 1925 and originally the home of Isaac Eberly. This manor was the origin of The Reading Rehabilitation Hospital in 1960. By 1971, the hospital surpassed capacity and a new rehabilitation hospital was built on the hillside above the formal gardens in 1974. The hospital was acquired by HealthSouth in 1998.

HealthSouth Reading Rehabilitation Hospital, the only freestanding rehabilitation hospital in Berks County, continues to carry the quality reputation of the Reading Rehabilitation Hospital in the medical society and community.
